PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTS, AND LOCAL TOURNAMENTS

All students have the opportunity to practice several sports on outdoor fields and courts, and inside the modern gymnasium.  The school has teams, selected, according to age levels, for soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming and tennis; they participate in local tournaments with other schools. Middle and High School teams also compete internationally. In order to participate in any proposed athletic activity or tournament, students must display a positive sportsmanship and an acceptable attitude with team members, so as to help the well-being of the team. Bullying, physical or verbal aggression, bad language or teasing of any kind, is absolutely forbidden. Students must display and practice:

  • Positive and supportive attitude
  • Team work 
  • Excellent athletic sportsmanship
  • Good work habits, punctuality and self-discipline

Olympic Tournaments: Students participate in the traditional, cultural, and athletic School Olympic Games, according to grades. This athletic and cultural activity takes place once a year, normally right after the first semester. Early Childhood, Elementary School, and High School compete on different dates. The Blue and Yellow Teams, prepare their athletes, with a lot of enthusiasm, to compete with good sportsmanship during the development of the different proposed disciplines. The participants must support their teammates with respect and dignity, and appreciate the values of working together. Both teams must model appropriate behavior and display a positive attitude. Parents can participate and support their children´s teams modeling appropriate behavior as well. Olympic Tournaments allow students to display their skills while participating in several integrated extracurricular activities.
